  1. Help Installing The Last Days Mod For Mac Download

. Help installing mods on Mac?.

I understand how to show package contents (I've spent at least 5-6 hours trying to get this to work today). I know where all of the respective folders are, but every mod I have tried (Valmod, Megacity, TrueSurvival, Compopack) all give me an error, which differs depending on the mod. When launching the mod, I get held up at loading block textures, with the message 'Object Reference not set to instance of an object.' The exact object causing the error is different for every mod I have tried. Even when the instructions are as simple as 'replace your data folder with this folder,' I get an error. I would post this on the respective pages, but few of the developers seem to have experience with macs, and it is also unlucky that EVERY downloadable mod is currently broken (and thus the issue is on my end). I am hoping someone who has experience modding macs can help me.

I develop on a Mac. In the case of ComSenMod in single player, you replace the.xml files in the Config folder with the files from the download.

I used to get a lot of crashes where the game wouldn't reach the main menu. But restarting enough times, alternating between reopening windows and not, seems to get through eventually. My current theory is the game doesn't like the invisible.DSStore file that often gets created when you move files into a folder. If you're a 'power user', try deleting this file from the Config folder and see if that helps. After spending the last few days downloading, copying, deleting, verifying, and all around bonanza of file tweaking and yet im unable to make mods work. I was just wondering if anyone out there actually got it working?

400hours in i need something different, what's frustrating is that starvationlauncher.exe loads on my mac, but does not recognise the game and thus that does not work. True Survival continue to has texture, player things missing which i eventually learnt where to replace from a vanilla file. And yet now have similar issues to to OP. And sadly it looks as if neither can mod with a simple copy and paste action I guess thats what i get for playing on a mac but then again, the game actually runs wonderfully on my 5yr old machine, and im left wondering and waiting to find an answer. Anyhoo shout if someone has found a fix or has ported the starvation or true survival launchers. Till then have a great day.

For upgrading issues with the player, we recommend you uninstalling, and downloading again from the links above to resolve any issues. Mac users - Windows users - • Double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation. Does sky pro for mac.

If we can figure out it, We will certainly share how. I think I'm going to hold off on modding until I get back home in June (and can play on Windows). A bunch of funky stuff started happening with my save despite making a duplicate of the 7 days to die folder. I didn't realize my computer stores game save data in a separate location, so when I logged into my modded game (which didn't load) and then back into my regular game, numerous issues occurred.

Last

First, every crossbow I had (including my friends') all defaulted to level 1. My character also lost all of his skill points that were spent. I was still level 100, but I had 0 skill points available and no traits purchased.

My minibike's engine also vanished, along with all of its gasoline.Since then I've had numerous issues with my game crashing and items randomly vanishing. It couldn't figure out how to give myself skill points, so I had to level myself up to 200 (and now I can't level up any more and buy more traits). I've mostly got it all sorted out now since I learned how to use the console, but probably shouldn't try to mod until I get on a windows computer. I develop on a Mac. If you're a 'power user', try deleting this file from the Config folder and see if that helps. That ended up fixing the problem. I have to delete the.DSStore file whenever I edit an XML.

I came back to this after I tried changing the max zombies spawns from 8 to 16, and the game wouldn't load up. I figured it couldn't be the mods if a simple XML change broke my game in the same way.

This continues for another couple hundred lines or so. A lot of the other errors in the output log will reference files I haven't even opened since a clean reinstall of the game.

It works fine until I open an XML file. I have nothing like this, when i change file or try a mod, just nothing happens or nothing appear in game (like custom icon) If you say me what you change exactly, i can try it here and see if the same happens i just check now my hidden file, i don't have any.DSstore in the '7daystodie.app' i think OSX don't create this file on my. That ended up fixing the problem. I have to delete the.DSStore file whenever I edit an XML.

If you have working repro steps I'd be glad to have a look (please also pastebin the log if it happens again though).

That would make sense, but I will make small changes to say, whether zombies can climb ladders, and will get output logs such as: 2017-04-07T22:12:24 127.342 INF World.Load: Random Gen 2017-04-07T22:12:25 128.099 ERR Loading and parsing xml (an attribute value was not quoted Line 22, position 20.) 2017-04-07T22:12:25 128.105 INF Started thread threadPathfinderIn this case there's definitely something wrong within the XML, hard to tell what exactly without actually looking at your modified file. But Line 22 position 20 should give a clue.
