Search Knowledge Base: How to make my Mac mirror my PowerPoint slides by default In PowerPoint 2011 and 2016, when you select the option to present, the Mac will use Presenter View. This view extends your desktop automatically and gives the instructor a preview of the upcoming slides.

When using this view, embedded videos will simply advance a slide instead of playing. Linked videos will play in a browser window, but the window will appear on your desktop and not on the projector - unless you previously extend your desktop prior to running PowerPoint and drag the browser window to the desktop viewed on the projector. An easy way to fix how videos play is to mirror your desktop presentation to the projector. If you wish to have your presentation on the projector always mirror what you are seeing on your computer, you can do this by going to Tips when in Presenter View.
