I bought this version as soon as I saw it available for Mac wishfully thinking that it will be similar to its windows predecessors. I was disappointed for three main reasons: 1. It poorly handles high resolution images. At some point the program would simply stop processing images unless you remove those hi-res photos one by one and try to add them later.
The limit on image number (currently 50) is too low. The control panel for music, style, & pace appears only after you press play, which means that the slideshow starts playing automatically with the 'old' settings. So, if you need to change the style, music or pace, you will need to be quick to stop the slideshow and modify the settings. To export (limited to 4 basic options) you have to first press play and wait for the slideshow to be “re-generated”. Styles: they are completely automated and you have no control over transitions, zoom level, color filter, brightness, contrast, saturation, framing, repetition. If you wish to create a simple (pure) professionally-looking slideshow (without any superficial noise or color effects or cheesy frames and distracting transition effects) this program will not let you do it. There is no option to add text either.
The app has a potential, for now I give 4 stars with hope that developers will address the above mentioned issues soon. And if they do, I will come back to upgrade my 4-star rating.
